The facelifted Tata Punch EV has been launched in India/ This marks the first major update to Tata’s smallest electric SUV since its introduction, bringing with it subtle styling tweaks inspired by the ICE Punch, feature upgrades, and revisions to the electric powertrain line-up.
The Punch EV facelift is now available with two new battery options—30 kWh and 40 kWh—replacing the earlier 25 kWh and 35 kWh packs. Both are paired with a single front-mounted electric motor driving the front wheels.
The larger 40kWh battery offers an ARAI-rated range of 468 km and a real-world (C75) range of around 355 km, while the 30 kWh version is rated at 365 km. Tata also offers a lifetime, unlimited-kilometre battery warranty.Like rivals Maruti Suzuki and MG Motor, Tata Motors has also introduced a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option.

The electric motor produces 129 hp and 154 Nm in the 40 kWh variants, while the 30 kWh versions make 88 hp and 154 Nm. Tata claims a 0–100km/h time of under 9 seconds for the larger battery, along with a 32 percent restart gradeability figure. It continues to get three drive modes—City, Eco, and Sport—along with four levels of regenerative braking, adjustable via paddle shifters.

Fast-charging capability has been improved, with a claimed 20–80 percent charge time of 26 minutes using a 65 kW DC fast charger. A 15-minute top-up can add up to 135 km of range. The updated battery and powertrain setup also brings improved efficiency, with reduced component count, simplified wiring, and better thermal management.
On the design front, the Punch EV facelift gets a revised front bumper with a closed-off grille and a cleaner overall look. The earlier black trim connecting the headlamps has been removed. It also features 16-inch alloy wheels and introduces new exterior colour options paired with a contrasting black roof.

At the rear, connected LED tail lamps have been added, aligning it visually with the ICE Punch facelift. Ground clearance stands at 195 mm, while water-wading capacity is rated at 450 mm.
Inside, the Punch EV facelift retains its overall dashboard layout and dual-tone colour scheme, now complemented by updated trim finishes.
Higher variants are equipped with a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. Features such as wireless charging, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, connected car tech, and a 360-degree camera continue to be offered, depending on the variant.
Safety equipment includes six airbags as standard, along with high beam assist, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, a tyre-pressure monitoring system, and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.
